Contrary to plans, the Bennetts will not be able to make the Rally this year.  Hope those that do have a great time.  The weather is presently holding in Erie.  Sunny but extremely humid.  Good luck to all.

You've gotta be kidding me! I missed it! :(

I was at Emery park today playing frisbee golf and I thought I saw an awful lot of MINIs driving around.

If anyone saw a blacked out MINI at the top of the ski lift that was me :)

I hope everyone had fun.

Yes, I saw the blacked out MINI and mentioned it to my wife ... wondered about the chances of an obvious MINI enthusiast being at Emery and NOT participating in the Rally.  Hope you had fun *golfing*.  We had a good time.  Sorry you missed it.

BTW, thanks again to everyone who planned and organized the event.  It was a lot of fun.  I now know the difference between a Guard Dog and Attack Dogs.no

To all the participates of our 8th Annual MINI Road Rally:

Here is what you have been waiting for, the STATs.

There were 22 MINIs that attended our rally this year.  That is the same number that attended our very first rally in 2003.

We had 9 Coopers and 12 Cooper S's.  There was one JCWs'.

5 MINIs were first timers.

Here are the standings:

First number is the number of answers wrong and second is mileage.

1st Place-  Jeff Goy and Chris Carter- 0- 76.6 miles
2nd Place-  Andrew and Andrea Gordon- 1-74 miles
3rd Place-  Mindy Kemp and Chris Quenneville- 1-75 miles
4-     Laurie Reiter and Jack Empson- 2-70 miles
5.     Dale and Julie Zajac- 2-73 miles
6.     Robert and Maureen Ryan- 2-74 miles
7.     Steve and Nancy Chenoweth- 2-78 miles
8.     Beth and Ashley Cadenhead- 3-72 miles
9.     Thomas and Debra Langdon- 3-74 miles
10.   Meaghan Furman and Paul Palistrant- 3-75 miles
11.   Russell and Jean Jaslow- 3-77 miles
12.   Wendy Lehman and Heather Moden- 3-79 miles
13.   Richard and Jan Hulsizer- 3-81 miles
14.   George Richards and Erin McKown- 4-74 miles
15.   Robert and Diana Bond- 4-75 miles
16.   Ryan Reiter and Bruce Green- 5-76 miles
17.   Mike and Polly Boldt- 6-62 miles
18.   Jake Barber and Rissa Young- 6-73 miles
19.   Ray and Amy Martineau- 6-74 miles
20.   Mike Ball and Sarah Parnnello- 6-75 miles
21.   John Pailes with no navigator- 9-77 miles (Received the POR Award)

Car #8 did not make it.

For question 12 which the right answer was fence and not mailbox there were 5 people who answered correctly.  As for question 22 the correct answer was green and the number of people to correctly answer it green and green alone was 11.  For question 20 we gave credit whether you put attack dogs or quard dogs.

MINI Club of WNY would like to take this time to thank each and everyone who took the time and attended our 8th Annual MINI Road Rally.  We hope that in spite of it all everyone had fun driving their MINI (which we assume they did) and get to know new MINI owners.  If not for the participants of the rallies we would not be able to have one.  We would like to say thank you and have a safe and fun summer and hope you all will attend our 9th Annual MINI Road Rally in 2011.  There are always surprizes in each year and you never know what is in store for next year confuse.  smile

I plum forgot the most important thing!!!  MINI Club of WNY raised $120.00 for charity and have decided to donate it to our local food bank.  We would also like to give a BIG thanks to Towne MINI for their awsome support for our rallies.  They have been helping us put on the rally throughout the years and just want us to have a great time.  So if you happen to be in Towne please let them know how we appreciate their sponsorship.  See ya' next year! smile

Saddened by the fact we could not make it this year, I am wondering if anyone could post a few pics. At least then those of us that did not make it could get a little MINI fix.

And yes, the baby came on the monday after. Kainan, 9 lbs, 3 ozs, 22" long. The kids foot prints took up the whole foot print card.
