I have not made any calls yet. Have been buried at work, I sprained my back, and just finished my final horse competition of the season. I would happily defer to you if you wouldn't mind calling. Or we can just wing it.

Holly, so sorry to hear about your back! Though none of us need that, it's probably one thing you really didn't need! Hope you feel better soon!

I think we may have to wing this one and maybe we shouldn't limit ourselves to Letchworth. I'm still on the road and won't be able to handle formal arrangements with the Park because it requires paperwork that I won't be able to fill out (if there's even a spot available).

I think the nice thing about this gathering is the gathering, and of course, the fall colors. Maybe we can still do it at Letchworth, and take our chances on sites, or maybe we can do another venue this year--something that doesn't require an application process.

Truth be told, I don't know for sure that I'll be able to attend, but I will check back and see what direction it's going. If I can swing it, I'll show up for whatever we do but my plans are still up in the air.

You bet! Why don't we set up a time and place to meet in the park, and then we can arrange sub-groups to travel to the park (we typically have a Rochester group and Buffalo group).

Okay, my n00b status may not afford being this bold but....

Rochester group meet at Buckland Park off Westfall Rd at 10:15. Depart at 10:45 (BING Maps says 1 hour 2 min).

Buffalo group meet at Aldon's Restaurant, corner of Transit and West Seneca Street (huge parking lot) at 10:00 am. Depart for the park at 10:30 am (BING Maps says 1hr 22 min).

Both groups meet at the restaurant with huge ballrom (double fireplaces) at noon (I've been there once and forgot the name). Brown bag your own lunch, eat as a group somewhere in the park, as a group plan a little "spirited drive" thru the park and stop for photo opp.'s.

For the Rochester group, I would suggest the Target parking lot in Henrietta, because it's easy to get on 390 from there, easy to find, and offers up a rest room for the group that's waiting. I would also offer up maybe meeting a little earlier (say 9:00-9:30).

I believe that the Buffalo group already has a meeting point.

Started new thread. I liked the Alton's meeting spot better. Can get there earlier for breaky if we want.
