E, next time you lead. Might have better luck with the traffic.
Those super slow cars in front of us were just killing me! I was having flashbacks to the time I had to follow my father in the WRX and he doesn't go above 30 mph.
We'll have to see if my car-ma is any better. (God I just crack me up.)
But did you see, on the way back, we passed a miniature horse farm. Minis!
I forgot to say a special Thank You! to the Weinerdogs and TrixieinNY for the Humane Society goodies. My bad for not posting that 'til pretty late in the game. Next year, I'll have to include that from the start and not allow anyone through the gates without donations for HS. That's the way Ted would do it, I'm sure...
I regret to inform that I will be away this year (at least for part of it) and unable to host / organize the 3rd Annual MINIs at Letchworth. I've gotten so busy that I neglected to secure a spot or anything, so I'm leaving the country, at least for a while. I hope to make the dream come alive again in '11!
Out of the country? Oh my! We certainly will miss you (and Jill, Carmen, and tedscar).
If there's still interest amongst the other club members to have a Letchworth trip, I would be honored to hold onto the scepter and help to organize a gathering for this year (with help from anyone else who would be willing to).
Anyone else still interested, even without our powerful but generous leader?

I'm off the weekend of Oct 2nd (or at least Saturday, so far!)
I have done a Mt Morris Dam tour before, and if you're a geeky as I am (or even less geeky!) it might be interesting to do that. Years ago I did an event called 'Donuts, Dam, Drive and Dinner'with a gathering stop, a dam tour, a drive around Letchworth & then to a restaurant for dinner, though lunch would be possible also.
Yes, let's get this in before I have surgery on my hand! My doctor said that I can't drive a stick shift after the surgery (not sure for how long that ban lasts for).

Surgery on your hand??? That's even more traumatic than leaving the country (or even the county)! Time for a get-together Miss Haybale; we have lots to discuss!
Good for you for carrying on the tradition at Letchworth. I regret bowing out on this but I have friends and landscapes to see in the western US. Jill & Carmen will be holding the fort down in my absence. On the bright side, tedscar and I will have many blissful (let's hope) Motoring miles together. Does it get any better?
Surprise We are still alive. First I would like to say im sorry Ive been missing the mini events. But have been very busy. We have bought a new house with some land and been packing and getting this house ready to sell so there's not enough time in the day. Yes we will plan on being at Letchworth this year its always a great time. You know miss Pepper your wonderful husband could drive for you.....hehe Good luck on your surgery. untill then see ya CJ

Would love to do the Letchworth thing this year, Sept 25th works i have it off also. If its any other day i just have to know early enough to try and get it off er come down with the bird flu.
I may have dropped the ball on this one! I've shamed poor Kim and tedscar.
For me, it looks like Sunday, October 17th is the best date for me, but October 23rd or 24th might work as well (I'm having surgery on my hand on October 18th, so I'm not sure how I'll be doing by then, so I can't guarantee that I'd be able to go). Should we have a vote as to which dates work for everyone? Hopefully, that will be prime time for foliage.

Either is fine for me at this point, but it will depend a lot on how much homework I have.

My hubby, the part time meteorologist (in his dreams, that is), has read somewhere that peak leaf time at Letchworth is going to be October 12/13, so the 17th certainly would be a better day from a leaf enjoyment perspective. Anyone else interested in coming?

OK, so it seems like the 23rd is the best for everyone so far. Any others?

There will probably be two groups, like last year. One will leave from Rochester area, & I set up a meet @ the Yellow Goose Mobil station on Hwy 20A @ Two Rod for the Buffalo area. We will probably do the same.
