Holly, thanks for the clear summary. You did a great job! (I thought people liked the treasure hunt technique--kinda hunting and pecking for who's coming and what they're bringing.)

I did call Letchworth today. They told me water was still on and drinkable. They also said we were free to use their grills and we DON'T have to haul ashes. But if you bring your own charcoal grill, you can't dump the ashes. It sounds like we had some workarounds anyway, but just wanted to keep people up to date with the latest and greatest...

Ok we are on to leave with the buffalo group. We will bring several bags of chips, dip, and some Sausage & hot dogs with buns to grill up and share with whoever. Oh yea. Will bring the wife, 3 year old and beagle pup as well!

I'm hoping to make it Sunday, barring any unforseen developments...

I've got paper plates cups etc. Meant to get mustards & ketchup, but will do that soon. (There's always more to get at Wegamns) Hey, Grey Poupon, are you bringing the Grey Poupon?

I'm like 80% go for Sunday still.

I agreed to be at our clinic's 30 year celebration because I thought it was on Saturday. Now I'm double booked for Sunday and I might have to be at the clinic because it will look pretty bad if there aren't any doctors there.

I'll know tomorrow.  And if I am able to come on Sunday, I make really yummy tuna salad.

I LOVE falafel! We went to Aladdin's on Sunday, and they were out of falafel. How can that be?

if i went to aladdins (which i only get to do like once a year) and they didn't have falafel I would revolt!

I may make some cookies too... It all depends on what we end up doing tomorrow and Saturday.

Change in plans at the KBCoop household. All 3 kids visiting for the weekend and are now staying until Sunday evening to watch the Bills game. We will not be able to attend the picnic.
Sorry. We were looking forward to Letchworth with great anticipation.
Everyone have a fantastic time.

I talked to work and they don't need me so I'm go for a picnic!

I'll be meeting the buffalo folks at said meeting point.  And if anyone is from Buffalo proper - I live literally blocks from the Peace Bridge.  There's a Burger King right across from Front Park that makes a very "meetable" spot.  We could meet up to go meet up with everyone.  :)

See you Sunday!

An update for the Buffalo crew meet near East Aurora.

The Gas station is a Mobil station & is 2 miles, almost exactly, east of the 400 on the left hand side right at the corner of Two Rod Rd.

Looks like we might have some rain tomorrow. The shelter is covered so that shouldn't be too big a deal if it does rain.

Don't know if you folks are aware of the recently-discovered emerald ash borer that has decimated ash trees throughout the midwest and was recently discovered in western NY. Because of that, DEC has a 'Don't Move Firewood' ban in effect. I'll see if I can scrounge up some stuff to get a fire going and maybe we can find a local source of wood near the Park so we could use the fireplace in the shelter if people want to warm up.

Just in case we can't find local wood though, it's probably a good idea to bring raingear and warm clothes just in case... Temperatures are predicted to be about 70, so I don't think we'll freeze in any case...
