Like I said I wasn't trying to question your beliefs I was just wondering what the thought is on stuff like that. I think it is great when someone sticks to their values and understands what they believe. I can't wait to meet another MINI driver my age. By they way I am 24 so you are close enough.

if you love the sound of your Hemi but want to drive the Mini just record it and play back the exhaust audio on your stereo through the aux in

Why would you want to do that?  The MINI has a hemi under it's bonnet.

Oh my! You guys are mean. It was a joke. And it was a joke in that I would use the 5.7L as a blower for the 1.6L ....... As I know you are joking too. evileye After all I do still need the engine in the truck like today had about 6000 lbs in the back. Let me tell you I drove that puppy slow. Not that the truck could not do it just afraid for the poor tires (rated 10plys at 3200 lbs at 80psi ea) and not a dually

Thats a nice truck too. More leg room in rear with x-cab. Got D-2500 being wider inside. So is the 08 really a Peugot engine? and if so what is in the 06?

02-06 Cooper has the chrysler tritec motor, about the same as the Neon SRT-4

same in the 05-08 Cabrio

07+ Cooper hardtops have the Peugot engines

The tritec and the older BMC A (Mini 59-2000) series engines use hemi type pistons.

That means they have a hemi type engine. So our humble 64 Wolseley, Smileee, and Windy all have hemi's.

smile Happy motoring,
Jack

Welcome,  You should try to join us in Belmont on Oct. 11th.  We've been driving Coopers since the summer of 03 and now own three of them.  Lot's of experience with a drive to CA, MTTS 06 08, a drive to Fla. to name a few.  Come and try your luck on the Xbox 360 with Forza 2 as we will be running Coops on race tracks.
