Seeing Double

No it's not a lost pulley party picture, or another MINI being upgraded at Jacks MINI Garage.

It's Smileee's newest motorimg mate.

A LY/MC Cabrio

This MINI had gone unloved for around six months so it has come to live with us.

The story as told to me by the folks at Towne MINI was:
The car was special ordered for a BMW exec's wife.
They went to New Jersey to watch it being unloaded from the ship. When his wife saw it she hated the car and they left it at the VPC. The car sat there for three months when it was shipped to Towne MINI to fill out their monthly allocation.

It sat for around another three months in Towne's back lot unwanted.

After hearing this sad tale I asked if someone there had been talking my daughters.
They used to have me purchase the saddest looking stuffed animals by telling me how much they were unloved and we should give them a good home.

I'll post a better picture soon.

Cheers,
Jack

Cool! How nice of you to take in the poor orphan, and I'm sure Edna and Smileee will be swapping stories before long!

Oh dude......

It's not an S?

Congrat's!

I was at Towne today getting my 1st service on my Cooper and they let take a drop-top S for a spin!

I HAVE to have an S when I trade in my Cooper in a couple years,

Dave

I had the choice of a go fast car or going topless. I chose going topless.

That's how you know they're fast, because they're topless. . . oh, wait, you mean. . . never mind. . .

This morning I went out and washed the smuck off the cars and took some snaps.

Together

Today my boss, a Lewistonite, looked at Little Em'ly, and said, "I've decided that MINI owners must be nuts!"

"Why?" I asked.

"I saw a MINI convertible the other day, and the guy was driving with his top down!"

"Was it yellow?"

"Yeah! How did you know?"

I just nodded, knowingly.

Guilty as charged. I guess 62 degrees is too cold unless you are nucking futs.

Jack

Or, it's just the advantage of such an upright windsheild...

Don't you remember one of the 'selling points' is that if you drove over 30mph in the rain you wouldn't get wet?

Erik...
