Recipe Exchange

With all of the tasty dishes that were brought to the Pooley party I thought it would be a good idea to have the cooks share the recipes

There were dips, salads, cookies and many more. Yummmmmm.

I’ll start off with one of my favorites.

Simple recipe for enjoyment: Take 1 Mini. Add 6 gears. Drop in 1 supercharger. A dash of 91 octane. A sprinkle of style. And finally add 1 Mad Man. Bake pavement and tires to taste. Recipe produces 1 Mini Cooper'S' and full satisfaction. Motor On.

Cheers,
Jack

Take 1 '04 MINI, add Union Jacks and 1 fat guy in a Hawaiian shirt, stir with large cigar and sprinkle with dog hair. Makes 1 Happy Dave.

Dave's Famous Pineapple Stuffing

2 sticks real butterr

2 cups real sugar

8 real eggs

10 real pieces bread, diced

2 large cans crushed pineapple, drained well.

Shredded coconut

1 tablet Lipitor, 10mg

Mix sugar & butter, add 1 egg at a time, add pineapple, put in casserole dish, mix in bread, place in preheated oven at 350, sprinkle coconut on top, pray a rosary for world peace, cook for 45 minutes to an hour. Eat. Take Lipitor. Also works with apple pie filling, also works with bananas, also works with Novena to Sacred Heart. Go to confession. Do not tell doctor.

Charva’s Chicken Chowder

8-quart stockpot

4 quarts chicken stock (chicken soup base is what I use)
1 lb carrots
1 small bunch of celery
2 medium onions
1 large can diced tomatoes
1 small can tomato paste
4-5 slices of smoked bacon
1 or 2 cans of navy beans (or your favorite bean)
1 bag frozen corn
1 bag frozen green beans
1 pre-cooked rotisserie chicken

Start by bringing chicken stock to boil while cutting up the celery, onions and carrots.
Boil those in stock for 20 minutes

While veggies are cooking, cook bacon until crispy and set aside, along with the bacon grease.

Remove skin from chicken and pick off the meat into bite-sized pieces. Add to soup last.

After carrots, onion and celery are cooked, add tomato paste and diced tomatoes.

Add frozen veggies and bring back up to boil.

Add beans and the meat. Crush up the bacon and use as much of the grease as you like.

Bring to a boil once again and simmer for an hour or so.

Enjoy
