RE: Abbott's Frozen Custard

Saturday, August 26th, 8 pm Abbott's, on West Henrietta Rd (near Jefferson Rd on the south side of Rochester)
3071 W. Henrietta Rd Rochester, NY 14623

There is a sub place called Dibella's in the plaza behind Abbott's, so if anyone wants real food before chowing down on ice cream, let's say meet at Dibella's at 7:15.
420 Jefferson Rd Rochester NY 14623
http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?searchtype=address&country=US&addtohistory=&searchtab=home&formtype=address&popflag=0&latitude=&longitude=&name=&phone=&level=&cat=&address=420+Jefferson+Rd&city=Rochester&state=ny&zipcode=

On the Mapquest map, Dibella's is in the plaza on the other side of Jefferson Rd from the plaza on the map marked as 'South Town Plaza'. Abbott's is on West Henrietta Rd, across from Jay Scutti Blvd.

Mmmm...

Hey guys...

Sorry for the confusion over my initial post Guess I shouldn't post after a long day... Or at least learn to quote the post to which I am replying...

Anyway, will do all we can to be up there in time to make DiBella's (best subs in Henrietta...) Can't wait - my mouth is watering already...

Cindy - sorry to hear you are going to be downstate for the week... Depending on the route you take, we can wave at each other ...

Bagpiper - thanks! Can alway use another contact on campus. Paul worked at IMS both as a student and a full-timer, not to mention some of his Profs in the Photo Department are still alive and kicking (Nicole is studying Photojournalism...) Not sure any of my Profs in the Engineering College (IF they are still around) will do her much good, but you never know...

Looking forward to meeting those of you that can make it out on the 26th... If not then, there is always Homecoming Weekend (October 5-8)...

NO I will NOT have my kilt..... (I like to change before I drive home...)

This is the DiBella's in the same plaza as CompUSA, correct?

Yes - that's the correct plaza! Methinks we may be able to join in on some of the cool fun, and we should be bring 2 of my nieces along too!

Looks like we may have the same cool rainy ice cream weather we had last month, but that hasn't stopped us! We'll see you there, Jenn!

We had 5 Minis at Abbott's last night, and even some cooperation from the weather 9at least in lack of rain!). Thanks to all who came out, the subs were yummy, and that hot fudge sundae hit the spot. And I even remembered to get the catnip today that I meant to get at Petsmart (trying to see if that will calm my long-haired cat down so I can comb her, but no luck so far!)

Well, after two jam-packed days full of Moving Nicole In, and then Orientation events, Paul and I have managed to come up for a breath of air!

First, it was wonderful meeting everyone at DiBella's and Abbott's. Quite a welcome relief after our drive up here. Hopefully we can do it again in October, and this time Cindy et al can make it out.

Thought everyone would be interested in seeing a picture I took this morning during the Convocation for New Students at RIT - none other than Lex (Bagpiper)... Great job today - did I mention I LOVE bagpipes???

I stilll haven't tried the chicken wings at Beale St (South Ave & Gregory), thoug they are rumored to be better than Jeremiah's. Mostly because Ilike Jeremiah's. :)

Hey, Pamlico, when do you want to go to the Abbott's near your house?

Hmmm... this weekend is not good for us. Any suggestions? Sometime in the next couple of weeks or wait for the RIT people to return?

At some point we're hoping to drive to Long Island for a weekend to visit our daughter, but that partially depends upon her work schedule - has a 7 PM to 7 AM shift in the Peds ICU at Stony Brook Med Ctr., but since she's still in training she's not always getting those hours.

On a different topic, I have an option on this site set to send a message to my Gmail account whenever a new posting is made to a topic that I may have posted. Unfortunately, this seems to have broken as when I click on the link that typically takes me to the topic, instead I am directed to what appears to be the home page for ActiveBoard. I can access the topic by the more traditional approach so this isn't a major problem.

We think we're worth clicking for. :)

I can relate on the schedule situation, since we're doing something new with our work schedule and I have no idea when I'm working after this week. I also have no idea when my house closing is supposed to be, though it could be anywhere from early next week to never.

I was fretting over not knowing the plan, until a friend of mine mentioned her sister is waiting to hear if she needs chemo or not. Somehow the house stuff seems less important.

Theoretically, I was supposed to be off most of the next 2 weeks, but that was if I was moving stuff...
