Bill here. Would there be any interest in a visit to the downtown Buffalo Automotive Museum in conjuction with the VW club of WNY. A fellow worker here, who drives one of the new Beetles, has proposed this, and wanted to know if there would be any interest out here in Mini-land. I'm assuming we'd have a "private party" where the general public wouldn't be allowed in while we were there. I just visited the museum with Calspan (my company), and the food was good, open bar, and lots and lots of automotive related items to view. Great T-shirts and souvenirs on sale too! Sounds like fun! Not sure what the costs would be of a 'private party' kind of arrangement, but worth looking into. I spent all my formative years (well, 1959 up until 1975) in VW buses and Beetles, so I have some familiarity with that breed. :)
Funny, I was once a member of that club briefly (My first love was a 1970 Beetle), I just didn't have the time to be active in it so I let my membership lapse. If this comes together I would've done more with the VW club as a member of the MINI club than I did as a VW member.
