Friday morning, in that awful wind, I let go of my door at the gas station. The door swung out fast in the gale, and banged against the concrete. My first real dent, after almost 2 years! Crap! I say, CRAP!!!!
I don't expect anyone to reply to this, but I just had to vent!
Now that I'm on my second dent, I understand. Nasty wind! We had 2 fatalities here in automotive vs wind incidents, so you might even think you got off lucky. Sorry for Emily's boo boo, though!
You're not alone. Although not in the MINI, the same thing happened to my Aspire about 6 years ago. Luckily my door trim is what hit the concrete post so my paint went unblemished but the dent is still there.
