Regional Mini Club Fall Picnic Sunday Oct 12, 2014

I have reserved the Parade Grounds shelter at Letchworth State Park for Sunday October 12th, for the entire day.

I am inviting all the Mini Clubs in the region.
This will be a pot luck picnic, bring a dish to pass. There is a fireplace, & electricity, so dutch ovens & crock pots can be accommodated.

I'm thinking that everyone plan to arrive at the park around 11am. We will go for a drive in the park & visit the falls at some point during the day. There is a craft show in the north end of the park that weekend as well.

The Buffalo area group can meet at Alton's restaurant in Elma, on Transit, south of the 400. We will leave Alton's at 10am, but if anyone wants to get there early, for breaky, thats ok too.

I'm a definite maybe! I was planning to go to Boston that weekend to meet up with a Mini owner from the UK I got to know through MINI2, but my parents will be moving that weekend and will probably need my help. If so, I might be able to break away for a Letchworth trip. It's good to have options!

Is anyone interested in going from the Rochester area?
I have posted on Roc City Mini, & Mini of Rochester facebook pages & emailed, but it doesn't look like they are organizing a drive down there.

Mark, since you have been on club runs before, I wonder I you could head up the group from Rochester.
There are 2 going, & 1 maybe from Geneeso on the WNY club facebook page & Cathleen.
A Edward Cain posted on the Towne Mini page looking to hook up & a David Bragg posted on Roc City.
If we can get everyone on the same page, pun intended, that would be 5 to 7 cars.

This is Ed Cain. We're in and possibly 1 or 2 others. I doubt we'll get any cooperation from the Rochester Mini dealer or their club (ROC City). They don't seem to want to be involved with the WNY Mini Club. Where & when do we meet up?

Thanks Ed. In the past, The Rochester group has met in the Lowes / Target parking lot on Hyman. But that was before Mini of Rochester.

SPDinNY, & Yellowmininy are both from Rochester, & have done club events before.
I will let them chime in.
I was really hoping that ROC City & Mini of Rochester would come around. Its about the owners, not which dealer they bought the Mini from.
MINI USA knows that. That's what MTTS is all about.
Every time a group of Mini's get together, some will say, hey that looks like fun, where's the nearest Mini dealer. Great word of mouth or eye catching advertising.
For the record, Mini of Rochester did 'like' the post that I put on their page, and there are now 2 RCM members that want to join the drive down.  See my post on the RCM facebook page.

I just found out that Pepper ( Holly) will be coming from Rochester as well.

It looks like I won't make it to this after all. We've gotten my parents' stuff moved to the new place, but haven't even started getting the old place ready to sell, so we'll be doing that next weekend. I wish I could be there!

I think it's safe to say that you'll be having more fun than I will! At least my sister and 2 brothers will be here to help out.

I think we usually meet up in the Best Buy/ Target parking lot near Marketplace Mall and head out from there

For those motorers in the Rochester area that would like to meet up, we can meet at the Lowe's parking lot in Henrietta (better than Target because of way less traffic). Let's plan on everyone being there by 9:45, to push off by 10:00. Please let me know if you will be there so we don't leave any MINIs behind!

Any individual must not miss such events as it is the real fun and informative too. I am saying this because I have attended couple of events similar to this and trust me it was a great experience.

Jason, It was a great day. We have another big event coming up April 19th
Watkins Glen opening weekend. We take our Mini's out on the track. (full road course, not just the NASCAR portion) Had 36 last year.
I know it is a bit of a drive for the NYC Miniac's, but lots of fun. A couple years ago some Carlisle Mini Club members were at the track with us.
