does anyone know how to get the wax off of your plastic on the car?

Not quite sure fire but, try toothpaste on a tooth brush. That should lift it.

Griots garage online sells a dried wax remover. use it to clean up the trim on the MINI a couple of times a year.

 

Better yet, before you wax treat all the wheel arches and such to Mothers back to black conditioner.  It repels the occasional slip while applying the wax.

I do car detailing as a side business, and I usually put back to black on plastic trim before I wax for that exact reason. If it's already dried on the trim though, Ive found that if you spray the trim with some spray wax, the dried paste wax will actually come off fairly easily
