I would suggest going to an autocross or two first. Autocross will let you practice car control skill at a lower speed level than track driving. And the dollars spent on preparation are lower. Plus it's a much lower $$ commitment if you find out you don't like it.

Then, if you find you like the thrills of autocross definately come to a track school. Lots of drivers start that way.

We are thinking of putting on a mini school (as in small, not car) this spring that just introduces people to what a driving school is all about and how to prepare. It will be some presentations, talk and questions in the evening. Once we have a date/location I will post it. Anyone who is thinking about a driving school is welcome to attend.
