2009 JCW

Here's my 2009 JCW that I bought with 11,000 miles on the clock in October of 2010. I'll be updating this from time to time when I do more to it.

Enjoy. :)

Current mod list:

- H&R lowering springs (on Sport Suspension)

- Pre-Intercooler turbo hardpipe

- Tinted tail lights & windows

- Rear wiper delete

- All light surrounds and grill surrounds painted body color

- Cooper gas cap

- Shortie antenna

- ALTA intake

- M7 J-Brace

- M7 JCW carbon fiber splitter

- Gloss black painted valances and wheel arches

Near future mods (hopefully):

OZ Alleggerita 17x7

ST Coilovers

Pictures taken today after installing the M7 JCW CF Splitter and the painted trim:

Yeah. These are my last major mods till spring. I have to pay back my student loans at some point lol.

I'm pretty sure my stock shocks are pretty much shot from the H&R springs so I figured I'd upgrade a bit.

This fall I'll probably pick up an oil catch can, the m7 heatshield, and maybe a euro license plate.

First things I'm doing in the spring:
-ALTA Accessport & ALTA/Forge/Helix FMIC (haven't decided yet)
-Wheels- OZ Alleggerita

Jan might be coming out this month still...just saying =)

I am getting a Newman cam installed the Monday after labor day as well as my Alta sway bar. Once that is done and he is here to tune I will put in some colder plugs and my 440cc injectors =)

Yeah, no offense, I'm just not a huge fan of that guy. I still haven't received a single email reply from him, ever. I don't want to have a problem or a CEL and just have to deal with it because I can't get a hold of him. ALTA always emails me back within an hour or two.

Booty shot!

Maybe he just doesn't like tuning R56's. Who knows.

Thanks for the update!  Love your MINI!  Slowly going to start doing some small things to mine, but at this point just checking out what others have done!

Another update on NAM...

If all goes as planned, this car will be for sale sometime in May. I know that's a long way off, but if anyone will possibly be interested in it, let me know.

My NAM post has the majority of the information, but I have an entire binder full of information, when parts were added, receipts for everything, and service records. The car will most likely be parted out unless the new buyer is willing to pay extra to keep everything the way it is.

Right now, I'm thinking of starting the price at $23,500 parted out, or $25,000 as it sits, which is a HUGE deal considering the money I have into this thing.

Again, I know it's a long way off, but here's my current parts list and the prices I would like to sell everything for. Everything is negotiable and priced to sell. If you want several parts, I'm sure we can work out a deal. If you're interested, we might be able to work out something now, but I would rather wait until the car is about to be sold. All the parts are in near perfect condition unless otherwise noted.

- ST Coilovers - $700
- Forge FMIC - $500
- ALTA 22mm rear sway bar - $140
- ALTA hotside boost tube - $60
- BSH oil catch can & dual boost tap/block off plug with several feet of extra hose - $150
- Rear wiper delete - $5?
- Rear seat delete (DIY) - $25
- Light & grille surrounds painted body color (PW; one of the headlight rings has a chip; the grille trim must come from a JCW aero kit) - $100 + your stock parts
- Cooper gas cap - $40 + your stock S parts (bezel must be painted PW)
- Shortie antenna - $5 + your stock antenna
- ALTA intake - $150
- M7 J-Brace - $220
- M7 JCW CF front splitter (the bottom is scratched from bottoming out a few times, but otherwise it's perfect, and isn't on my car for "wintermode") - $250
- Gloss black painted valances and wheel arches (from a JCW aero kit) - $350 + your trim
- Joey mod with angel eyes (DIY; lots of time involved) - $100 + your xenon headlights
- Base Cooper spoiler - $0 even trade for an MCS spoiler. Gloss black.

You've definitely got my attention! Once you get closer to your Exige I'll make a list!

Drew,
What is your next set of wheels gonna be? Do you have another MINI on order, or thinking of something else?

Ive gotta tell you, I really like how those challenge spokes look on my car, but the bridge spoke 16's for winter look pretty, um, pedestrian.
Put me in line for your rear sway bar, hopefully you can find someone that appreciates what you did to your car and won't have to part it out.

Take care,
Mike

Hey Mike,

Sounds good. I'm also hoping someone will want the car as is but I have a feeling I'll make more money off of it parting it out.

For the sale I think I'm just going to get the Enkei's repainted and get some summer tires for them.

I'm getting one of these:

Drew,

Was thinking what your thought on the following would do for me given they are the first mods I would likely end up doing:

- Shortie antenna - $5 + your stock antenna
- ALTA intake - $150
- ALTA hotside boost tube - $60

The boost tube will do more for performance than the intake will. The intake is mostly just for noise, but out of everything I've done to this car it's probably still on my top 3 favorite mods. I still get a big smile on my face every time I hear the big WOOOOSH.

The shortie antenna doesn't lose any reception. Looks a lot better though.

If you wanted to do those 3, I'd say $200 + your antenna. If you want the filter cleaning kit that I got from ALTA too, $210.

Sounds pretty good to me, keep me informed when you're getting the Exige and we can meet up. I'd probably go for the filter cleaning kit depending on how useful it actually is.
