I'm not sure about 1st gen cars, but they won't fit 2007+ S's or JCWs. R56 S's need 16" wheels and JCWs need 17" wheels.

drewstermalloy- you are correct in noting the rim size the models come with however, that does not equate to compatibility.  Check the door panel inside the drivers door for a list of compatible wheel and tire combinations for MC's.  The wheel and tire combinations all have the same rolling circumference or are within +/- 3% of the design circumference.  The 4x100 bolt pattern fits all MC models from 2002 thru at least 09.

So if you are looking for a set of wheels for snow tires for your MC that came with 205/45R17 or 195/55R16 you can run a set of snow's that are 175/65R15 with no change to your speedo, because they have virtually the same rolling circumference.

there is a great tool at:  http://www.ajdesigner.com/fl_tire/tire.php, that will calc the the C value for any wheel/tire combination.

It's not about the speedo differences, it's about the size of the brakes. The 15 inch wheels won't clear the S or JCW brakes.
