I am looking for picnic sites, if anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear them... I don't know if there are any public parks in North Conway, but nearly everything seems like a park up there. smile.gif

The pub quiz is a mix of Mini trivia and general trivia - it takes place on Friday night at the mixer. There are teams of four, and about 10 rounds of questions. It's a lot of fun!

The only stuff that one could even possibly study would be Mini history and stats. They have asked questions about classic mini stuff and rally info, but there have also been questions about new minis.

Yessindeedee, it is coming right up! Next weekend is the rally; we have a friend coming to town the following weekend, then it's time to pack 'em up and move 'em on out for MOT! Can't wait; should be heaps o' fun!

We (Brian, Pepper and Self) are planning on going up on Thursday, and would be honored to MINIvan with you! Where should we meet? Last year, we met at the rest stop on the Thruway near Manchester. If Chris (aka Dumpnrun) is joining, perhaps a little closer to his digs in Auburn? (Unless he's not going up on Thursday).

We're heading up Thursday as well! I'm hoping for comfortable weather so Carmen doesn't have to take Jill's place in the shotgun seat (or mine)! We will meet wherever / whenever; always up for a MINImeet (almost).

I certainly do Nicole! Carmen's hoping it's not too darn hot for her. I SWORE I'd never have a black dog again--'my' Newfie was black; Ted was black; and now Carmen shows up wearing a black coat on top! What is wrong with me?? But I digress--I think the Cs will be quite pleased to be making their way to NH instead of punching the clock at some silly office on 6/25!

To the Western NY mini caravan that is going to Mot on Thursday. I will be at the Dewitt service area pull off that is just past Exit 36 ( Rt 81) . Last year I believe that the first meet-up point was at the Clifton Springs service area (just after exit 43). Will this work for people coming from Rochester and points west? I am flexible as to departure time - whatever is good for everyone else is good for me.

The Clifton Springs rest stop works well for us, too. I would think that no later than 8:30 a.m. for a meet up time? I know that's early, and someone will be dragging her patootie out of bed for that, but it's 9 hours from our house (not including rest stops/gas stops/lunch), so it would be nice to get there before dinner time.

Thanks, Cathleen! We are very proud to have represented the WNY club by winning by a landslide! Who knew that my scary knowledge of mullets and cheesy pop acts would finally come in handy and help our team to win such a prestigious event? We named our team, "The Glitzy Girls Featuring Top Kill" (Nicole and myself being the Glitzy Girls, and Brian and Al being Top Kill).

We had a really awesome time yet again this year and have so many stories to share. We truly enjoyed nearly every moment (the exception being the actual drive to the top of the mountain, which I think that we could have done without the treacherous weather up there!). It was really funny to see the three naughty non-MINI drivers that decided to pass five of us on the road get their comeuppance and ALL get pulled over by the police during a scenic drive.

Hi, I'm home! It was a great weekend, and I met a few Minis along the drive home. The hardest part after MOT is not having crowds of Minis around you whenever you drive anywhere!

Hey all--fabulous time up there in NH!

It was great having yet another good contingent of western NYers tooling around the White Mountains! It's hard to beat that place for scenery (except right here in WNY), excitement, and adventure and it surely lived up to its reputation!
