I need to get my car inspected on monday and it wont pass with my bald tires. i need 2 tires to get me through inspection till i can afford my blizzaks for winter. I only need 2 ,195/55/r16s. help a miniac out please!! I will obviously pay for them. i just dont have 300$ for 2 tires at the moment. id rather save for 4 blizzaks.

Sorry I can't help you VB, but I'm curious--are the two you need replaced on opposite sides or the same side? I ran into the same thing, but it was both right tires. I'd been rotating them every 5-6,000 miles so that wear pattern kinda surprised me.
Hope you are able to round up a couple to get you through the inspection--the Blizzaks would be a good thing.
their both the fronts. i just didnt have time to rotate during the summer so my back ones are fine. but the fronts are racing slicks =). but sadly racing slicks wont pass my inspection for me. haha. Damn spd thats blahh. ill run around today looking all over for some cheap tires...

I have two 15s, but not 16s, and they're not on rims. I think that they're 165/55/15. If you can make that work and find rims, then let me know.

Lots of spin outs in your first year with a MINI? It is hard to resist, that is why in the future get ultra high performance summer tires they seem to be very hard. If you are planning on getting snow tiers I found NEXEN UHPST for about $50 a piece. They arn't the best tire in the world but they have been really great this summer.
I ordered online and it took less than a week to get here.
I can't remember the company I ordered from. I will do some searching and try to figure it out.
VB, why don't you just sell one of your 150+ cars, and use that money to purchase tires?

ok, i got some steelies and tires. im all good. minis in the shop right now and its disappointing that it costs 186$ for a freakin alignment. good to know.....
