Door Lock Computer lost it's mind!

On my 2002 Mini standard, I made the mistake of using the "key can lock and close everything" feature!  After having done this, when I returned to the car the driver's side door will not respond to any keyfob command to "unlock".  It can only be UNLOCKED by inserting the key and turning it.  Paul Will of Towne and I tried everything we could think of to return it to normal function with no luck.  Anyone else had this happen?  I shudder to think what the solution is going to cost!  Bill aka "Cogman" confuse
P.S. Everything else, passenger door, sunroof, and hatch lock has returned to normal.  Only the driver's side (the most used of course!) continues to malfunction.

I haven't had that problem. I have experienced (more than once) that my remote doesn't work in the Kohl's parking lot in Webster. It's like there's some airwave interference or something. Now I have to park like a mile away from the store, and hike there.
