Pre-registration is certainly appreciated and helps us to get the event started on time. So far, only one mini ( me ) has signed up. We need enough minis to make a mini only run group so sign up soon!

Things are not looking good. Only two MINIs signed up so far. And you get to run for FREE.

If you are planning on coming then take a minute and sign up ahead of time. We would love to have enough MINIs to make a MINI only run group then everyone runs together.

Sign up now. Make that commitment and come out for a fun day.

I'm in. I have been looking forward to this all year. I've wanted to go to other Autocross events but the summer has slipped by without it.

I'm looking towards spending the day and we can only hope the weather is good.

My dad (jrbond007) has said that he wants to do it, he just hasn't registered yet. I told him he better get on that soon. I may, as well. Do you have to pre-register or can you register when you get there? I may not know until the week before whether I'll be able to make it or not

We would prefer that you pre-register. If you are in doubt about your schedule you can register online up until Wednesday evening that week. Pre-registration means your check in is "license, sigh the waiver, put numbers on your car, have fun".

Is it still free if you are NOT a member of the CCA or PCA? Or do you have to become a member, and then the entry cost is free. Helmet loan cost?

Does anyone photograph this event? I was planning on taking a bunch of photos.

Also, will I look like an ass running a completely stock 09 MC?

The event is free to all MINI / Mini owners.

I hope to come but it depends on a few things. I have an almost stock MC so don't worry about it. Most MINI drivers are there for fun and not so much for competition at least that is how I felt last year.

Count me in... Just finished registering.

New to the club, though some of you may have seen me before. I picked up my MINI during Towne MINI's party for the 50th anniversary, and I met Dumpnrun at a local car show recently.

Looking forward to meeting people, now that I won't be busy learning about the car. Then again, I've never been on a track before, so maybe I'll learn more about the car as well!

Looks like you all had a great day! LY looks like it was a popular color and I do love that one. Who's in the red MINI who caught a little air?

We (mostly Jill) made great progress painting the house. Hopefully this isn't something we'll (mostly Jill) do every year! Another nice day tomorrow--perfect for Motoring--but we have more to go.

Looks like it was a lot of fun. So how many MINI's are part of the BMW club? It appears its cool to join that club with a MINI?

Purely an unofficial stat but I think there are four or five MINIs in the BMW club locally. Probably more that I just have not seen out at an event (because they brought the BMW).

Man, I missed that last turn off by a mile on my first run. I really was into it and I could have run another lap by the way I was going.

Great time! I would like to do that with just the Mini's and let all the other makes have their own day.

Just to keep everyone up on the news. I've been busy and have to admit I think it's been weeks since I check up on the status here.

First, we have had one discussion already about 2010 and it would be nice to have a MINI only day. The harsh reality is that it involves dollars and cents to rent the track and we love it when we can break even on an event. Start recruiting your friends now.

Second, is that the owners of BIMP are in some financial difficulties and we may not have access to that track for 2010. Only time will tell.

Summary, we would love to put on another one in 2010. Lets see which way the fates take us over the next couple of months.

And, if you know of a similar location that would let us use ( or abuse ) it for the day let me know.
