Automobile August 2009 article - Escape From New York (in a Mini convertible)

Just received in the mail today the August 2009 issue of Automobile. On page 74 there is a great first hand account of taking a drive outside of NY city for the day in a base MINI Convertible. It is a must read. As I, you may finish the article and just want to take the same drive through the park like settings in a MINI convertible in red of course. He even mentions the convertible Openometer. No posting at their website yet.

The August issue???? I'm still trying to figure out where February and March went...

The article sounds great. Tooling around last weekend with the top up (hardtop), I can only imagine the fun it would be topless. I'd have to lash down the few hairs I have left, but 'oh what a feeling'!

I drove my R50 through manhattan a few weeks ago. The knowledge I gained: do not drive a lowered car through Manhattan. Ever.
