Maureen and I both had busy nights at work last night and just did not have the energy to go. Glad to see the many pictures and hear the fun you all had.

Thanks for a great time.  We'll have to come back to the area so we can take in the sites without looking at a map.

We're heading south to North Carolina at the end of the month.  We're getting together with the Tar Heals Mini Club down there hoping they have some fun stuff to do like us Northerners.

Good job planning the event!!!!!!

It was a really fun rally. I thought the 'Chili Red Brigade' was amusing, but I kept walking up to the S in front of my car, because it looked almost exactly the same (even had that checkerboard mirror covers). The rims should have given it away, though.
My mom was my navigator, and at every little bump in the road she was "Oof!" "Ah!" "Geez! Slow down!", so that made it a little less fun, but she managed to not get me too lost (we're both horrible with getting lost, which is why I got a GPS for my last birthday haha)
I wish I could have stayed around for cake, but I had to hurry home to change and go to work :(

Can't wait until next year!

winkHow many MINI's drove onto the runway at North Buffalo Airfield?
Yikes those guys were disbeliefpished. The skinny scruffy dude said we were the third.
Made us feel less stupid knowing there were two other crazy MINI's laughing.
and thanks to the little girl planted at the end of the driveway to point us back to the brown hanger. Who does she belong to?confuse
Okay the memories are now flowing. Good times.biggrin More good than not.
thanks again

Wow fifty cars for the fiftieth, great weather and first place what a day.

No one was as surprised as Laurie and I were that we came in first. We have been participating in TSD rallying for over 20 years and the best finishes have been two seconds and a third.

Laurie, Smileee and I want to thank Dan and his staff for hosting this great event, Diane for all of the great work she has done to make it happen, and Bruce for and excellent route.

We would like to also thank our sponsors Towne MINI (change hat), Tim Hortons (change hat), Yokohama Tires, (change hat), Castrol (change hat), Sunoco (change hat), Webb Motorsports (change hat), Alta Parts (change hat). I know enough already.

Also, pencil in August 22d for the 2009 edition Pooley Party at our place in Lewiston, NY.

Well, we had ourselves a time! Somewhere between the 'blue smoke'  and the gorgeous scenery for much of the course, we must have gotten an answer or two right. It was cool to see so many MINIs and MINI enthusiasts. The day couldn't have been better! As has been said, it was great to see some of our 'regulars' and to meet some we've only known by web names! Thanks to all who planned and participated!

At least one of us will be back in '10, if all goes as planned (and when does that happen?)

I put up several of the photos I took in a Picasa private album. If anyone would like the link send me a PM or send a note to RedMiniMojo at bodosom.net

There are shots of the Mini, general shots and of course the entire Chili Red Brigade.

I didn't look at the sponsor list but is Ben Sherman a sponsor? They sponsor all scooter rally's all the time. check out Scoot.net. Don't look at the photo gallery as scooterists tend to get a little randy at these events. But otherwise give them a try.
