VB, because of the distance you MUST cover, the thruway is going to be the fastest, & most boring, although our Rte 20 trip isn't going to be much better. Take it all the way to the Canadiagua exit. It dumps you onto the road that takes you all the way down through town to 5 & 20. If my memory is correct, Weggie's is off to your left a short distance. It is 1 1/2 hrs from our house, so we are going to try to leave about 7am. If you want to meet up with us, there is a fire station just past Two Rod Rd on Broadway (Rte 20). We live within eye sight of that station. I have a busy day today, but will try to check back here later.

Wegmans is on the right side of 5&20 in Canandaigua, after the intersection of 332 (Thruway to 332, left onto 5&20, right into the Wegmans lot)

VB, if you take the Thruway, get off on the Canandaigua exit (which will dump you onto Route 332). Take 332 to Routes 5 & 20 (you'll go through "downtown" Canandaigua), and take a LEFT onto 5 & 20. Wegmans will be on your RIGHT.

I hope to see everyone there tomorrow.

Well if i calculate this right,Vegan Brian you are about an 1 hour from Buffalo,3 hours from exit 40 on the thruway then 2miles to our house so Serena can ride with you. Then 1 more hour back to Wegmans to meet everyone. So thats 5 hours of driving and your not at the track yet he he he ha ha. So you have to leave at 2 in the morning. Yes VB Serena may ride with you but you got to let her wear your brain hat. hehehaha. We will see you all at Wegmans you to VB. PS I did my first oil change today 11000 miles, the oil was a little black but was in good shape. seeya CJ

Must have been the idea of a trip to Weedsport that scared VB off, Chris. Brian, you missed a really nice day out!

Thanks to everyone who came out! We had 30 Minis, perfect weather as soon as we got to Watkins Glen, and about the worst thing that happened was that there were so many people at the track who wanted to share in the day that weren't Minis. Not to mention that small mishap with the cookies...

Hmmmm...did you know Jill gave me her cookies? She handed them over so guess it doesn't count that she tossed hers.  Really hope Holly is feeling better soon.

im so upset i missed out. I will never trst my alarm clock again! grrrr. im really happy everyone had fun. I did get my entire house spotless though, i made some positive come out of my situation. =)

What a great  day it was. That was my first trip to the glen and now I know what everyone has been talking about. We enjoyed meeting everyone and hope to do it again. Can't wait for the next event. Thanks for the cookies Yellowmini. You did a great job of hosting. Thanks for the guide around the old track too.

Fantastic day everyone! Great to see you all; thoroughly enjoyed the whole darn thing. Oh sure, the sunburn on my scalp feels a little warm, blah, blah, blah, but all in all, a day for the diary...

Thank you everyone. We had a great time. Definitely have the June Rally on our calendar. Our daughter Lauren took video of the 2nd lap. I am on facebook, Robert Bond, & have uploaded video. We ended up being the last Mini in the group on the track & lagged behind @ a couple of spots, but caught up again. My excuse is 4 people in the car, & it is not an 'S'. Sounds good at least. Looking forward to Mini more good times. Lauren said that 'clinging to the side of the Mini while taking video of the lap as Dad speeds though hairpin turns, made the sunburn & getting up @ 6am worth it'
