Hold the phone! I wasn't talking about canceling the event. I agree that Saturday (during the day) looks like it's going to be OK. I don't see any trouble holding to the delivery schedule as we've set it up.
For Jill, Ted, and I, my concern is that the next storm is supposedly moving in Saturday night and will be well in place by Sunday (read the NWS Hazardous Weather Outlook). I'm pretty sure I don't want to drive 2.5-3 hours+ in a whiteout on Sunday. I'm also not crazy about driving up and back in one day. That might just be too much for me and the fam.
I'm not bowing out yet, just want to have a plan in place, just in case...
I hope you can make it just remember it would be 5 hours in a MINI not a 5 hour drive. I personally will be traveling from fredonia and back tomorrow, I will be stopping at the Old Toad for a snack. My fater (MINImitch) is planning on attending also just so you know.
Let me know if you plan on not going, but I bet you can make it. Today was fun to drive out there ;)
I just talked with Gary and we may have problems. He doesn't know if the Pirate Toy Fund be plowed out by tomorrow and the municipal plows have piled snow along the sidewalk, eliminating the street parking.
He and I will talk around 6 tonight. I will keep everyone posted here.
~ 6:45: Still pending. Gary's lot was not cleared out. MightyMo plows snow in his 'off-season' so he may clear the lot. Otherwise, we'll Motor to a Wegmans to drop toys. May / May not have fire engine or news coverage, but we'll still have a good time . Stay tuned...
~7:10: WE'RE ON! ORIGINAL PLAN! (Thanks to Scott for plowing the Pirate's lot!). Be at the Fire House at 2:00 PM sharp and we'll Motor on over to Toy Land. I will try like heck to be there, hopefully with Ted and Jill!
Hip, hip, hooray! I'll start loading Pepper up with toys tonight. My sister called and said that she had more toys, too, and I'm trying to arrange a meeting with YellowMINI for more.
Kim, it looks like Sunday morning the weather is going to be fine, so if you get off to an early start, you should have a smooth ride home.
Cheerio!

OK, just got our driveway cleared and now I see NWS has lifted the hazardous weather warning (thanks for the tip Holly)!
This is looking better & better!
Many thanks to Scott for his work behind the scenes to make this happen.
I too am looking forward to seeing everyone! Thanks for your patience on the plans for this. Next year, maybe we should deliver toys for Memorial Day...
Yes lot is all clear. And what a tough job with the big truck. The MINIs will have no problem getting in now. Donated the plowing. Worked from noon until 11:30 last night clearing snow and then again this morning. I am now at the Firehouse and one of the other members cleared our lot. THANK GOD. I'm beat. Looking forward to seeing all today. Going out with the Firetruck this morning to look for a big bow for the front of it. NOTE: If you arrive here please back in the side lot and if for some reason we are not here, it must be that we have an emergency call. Sorry if that happens and we can't drive with you.
Kim and Gary have put alot it to this. Been in constant cantact with both and the coversation last night with Gary was mostly about the GREAT, HARD work that Kim has put into getting everyone involved. BIG HAT of to him. -scott edited for the holliday colors...lol

now that the weathers over....wish Miss MINI would cooperate. Engine light is now on and the windshield seal is flapping in the wind! Ugh, perfect timing....
We had a really great time today! I wanted to send out thanks again to Kim and Scott for spending a significant amount of time and energy organizing this whole event. You guys both did a fantastic job. They showed us on the news tonight (I DVR'd it), but the video and story are both on the News10 NBC website. You can check out the link:

We're the top story (at least as of this point). The video is the same video that showed on the 6:00 news.

Ho, Ho, Ho--great pics Holly (and nice job on the newscast)!
Hey everyone--thanks for making this event a success! It was great to have so many MINIs and their people on hand to do something meaningful for the holidays. You're a great bunch and I look forward to our next soiree! Everyone stay safe and warm during the next storm!
Thanks to Kim for putting this all together, Scott for the plowing, and Holly & Brian for helping to get my toy donations there. Also, thanks to all of you who helped make this a special event in spite of some rather adverse weather.
If anyone would like to contribute toys, Wegmans has toy collection boxes in their stores, if you're out shopping before the next snow storm!
I should post up several pics in a few days. That is when I am not in the truck or sleeping...UGG. I loved meeting another whole bunch of you all. The rest of the crew at Engine 12 had a blast. It was all they talked about for the rest of the day. Kim, what can I say...hmm no words can ..... wow that's a first for me. Nice job. Maybe it is a start for an annual event. Holly, what is with peeper getting snow in the car. I now that you are to keep the top down most of the time but the poor toys. The santa suit was over the top. And the crowd on Main street in aww!... Most have been the firetruck.. after all the were only a dozon MINIs...lol. Even the people at Savlvators came out and asked what was going on when we were staging. Now they now what a Minac is. Going to take a nap now..post latter -scott

Awwww man...I just saw this and am so sorry I missed out. I started a weekly 50/50 raffle at work in November to buy toys for tots. They just took the box today...could have brought it to Rochester.
