What winter tires do i get?

ive heard about tired rack. and Blizzaks(sorry if spelling is wrong). I know nothing about tires but i need to buy them now because i will need to put them on prolly right away when i get my mini. I Will be driving my mini this year in winter. When you order off tirerack do i get steelies with the tires? What size tires and rims do i get for my 09 mini cooper S? Also should i wax it before it sees winter? if so what wax? and how else can i protect my mini. This will be the only winter my mini sees.

My first winter I put Dunlop "Winter Sports" on winter rims purchased from Towne.  I didn't prep them and used a good wheel cleaner when I removed them.  I was very happy with them.

In the years since, I have run with my all season tires and have had no problems.  If you don't plan to drive it in the winter past this, you might take this route.

Lots of ways you can go.  Hopefully more members will give advise.

I think you should get 33inch monster truck tires.It would raise the car off the ground 18 "so you wouldnt have to worry about deep snow. CJ
