Get Together in Belmont, NY

Looking for something to do with other MINI-minded people?  We would love it if you would join us for a morning drive through the countryside, music, food, X-Box Mini racing, story swap, photos, or just a laugh.

10:00 Reception: Coffee and Pastry at Coops  (also on Schuyler/Main St., Belmont, NY)
11-12:00  Country Drive
12:00   Lunch
1:00-3:30   Forza Mini Racing and or back roads drive.
*Remote Control Cone Course *Remote Control Drag Racing (*if you have one-bring it with you)
5:00 Dinner

I'd love to join for the actual drive part. Can't say I'm interested in the Forza / X-box racing. Unfortunately, none of it will work for me that weekend as I already have other plans. I hope you have good weather and find a few like-minded folks!

Nice to here from you.  Yes, the drive will be a good one.  Goin' over today to give it a trial run.  Wish I could get you "into" the video game.  It really is a blast when you play with multiple people. 

In Forza 2 you can upgrade your MINI and create detailed paint jobs.

Notice:  The fee is now waived.  This might mean less food provided, but close by is a very good restaurant that serves a great Texas Hot.

I may have scared you away with my Xbox offer.  You don't have to play.  If you want I will let you use my 03 Cooper to go on a dirt road run.  For those of you that have not tried this, I promise you will enjoy.

And I can offer to let anyone stay 28 miles from Belmont at an extra two story house.  It has two bathrooms, multiple beds, a kitchen, and a pavillion with fire place.  You can stay Friday and or Saturday Nights.  If you are interested I can post some pictures so you will know what to expect.

Can I just move into the house?

(Sounds like it's shaping up to be a great time. Unfortunately, our previous plans are going to make it impossible for us to attend cry.)

Seven Cars So Far

Carolyn just saw a (blue) Clubman in the Mt. Morris area.  She tracked the woman to the post office.  I think she frightened her when she asked who owns the Clubman.  Must have thought the worse.

She had a chat with the woman and it turns out that her husband liked the new car so much that he bought a Cooper for himself.  She showed her some pictures from Letchworth and told her about our party.  I think we may see them.

We have two other friends with MINIs that should be in.  If they are anything like most of us, I would like to get them involved with MINI Club of WNY.  Can't believe I waited five years to join.

Dennis has to work Monday but I am off and may have a "mini moment" and decide to take the run with you...that is if the sun is shining!

Party In Belmont, Sat. Oct. 11

Well, the two of us have been busy today.  Our three MINI's are cleaned up and ready to motor.  Borrowed a van and loaded it with toys relating to the Coop.  Got some nice soup started which will go great with fresh, hot grilled cheese (and ham).

The weather should be beautiful and we have been bugging any MINI owner we spot to stop in.  Sorry if you can't make it.  We will post some photos and stories.
