I was just told prolly the same thing as Calibean, Sometime in november when a production slot opens up. Welcome to the site Cali and im VERY happy to see someone that is in this with me now haha. I could tell you stories of people out west who had to wait 9 months for their Minis, if it makes you feel any better!

It's a great time to do all the chores that you've been putting off doing. Mostly because once you get the Mini you'll be driving!

hey were getting the same exact car hahaha, lighting blue ,black top, limited slip, except mine having black bonnet stripes. We can drive off the lot together with our matching cars haha. we will be getting them prolly the same exact day. same time hahahaha. thats awesome





PS. By the way i have the exact same urge to go drive their test car for the 4th time hahasmilesmile

Well, at long last, it sounds like 'tedscar' might be heading my way (or I might be heading its way---to pick it up!). Ray called today and his paperwork says it was delivered on the 27th. Hey, WTH, isn't the 27th yesterday? Not to worry Ray says. Just add two days to what the paperwork says and that's the normal delivery day. Heck's becks (or he**'s bells), that's tomorrow! Ray's thinking a Saturday delivery could happen!

Yoo-hoo! I've been waiting since June 13th for this. I've dragged you all through it with me. Hopefully there's no last minute glitches. Saturday looks like it'll be a nice day; perfect for a ride home in the O2B MINI!

Thanks for putting up with me. I look forward to meeting you all soon (maybe at Letchworth on 9/27?)!

Second the pics! Have fun and DRIVE SAFE! As my wife said on the way back home on I-90 when we picked up MiniMo, "you might want to slow down" and I being a guy said "but we are getting 32.8 to MPG". Yes we did slow down. In a MINI it drives so easy that you might not feel the speed. And again PICTURES!!!!

Thanks for the congrats & words of wisdom (especially regarding that S-M-O-O-T-H MINI speed). I certainly don't need any MINI birthday speeding tickets or the like. I'll have to study up on pic posting, but i should have a couple up here by tomorrow night if all goes well!

Printed the checklist from NAM, got the music CD and Ipod. Lousy Treo phone might need to be 'traded down'. Doesn't seem to do well w/ MINI's bluetooth long-term (jury's out but don't know that I want to risk it). Should be all set. Will report back tomorrow.

How long after you ordered it did you get your production #?  Did they e-mail you?  Paul was a little unclear at Towne.  All I know is it has been a week since I ordered my MINI and I keep telling my wife that November is never going to get here...

CaliBean and VeganBrian: YOU CAN DO IT! We all did; surely you can. Just keep telling yourself, 'it's just a few more days'... You guys won't believe this. Before I signed off (and paid) for tedscar today, Ray (from Towne) and I took it out for a test drive. We're at a light and a Ferrari pulls up next to us. (It really is tempting to take this story in a whole 'nother direction but I'll stay on track.) Anway, Ray tells me he knows the guy. That guy waited...get this...TWO YEARS for his car! So, don't think nothing of a lousy couple months.

CaliBean--Welcome! I got my production number the day I ordered. This is my 'starter MINI', so I can't tell you if that's normal or not. (Actually, there's not much about normal I can tell you.) I'm sure someone here can tell you, or you could call Towne maybe and find out for sure. There's also North American Motoring (NAM for short) if you haven't found that website yet. Good luck--hang in there!

oh yea, and that Ferrari, I would have reved my engine and gave him the evil eye and tried to race him hahahahaha. If hes driving a Ferrari im sure 2 years is nothing. haha.

Well, I've got my production #.  They will start to build her October 1st.  Paul at Towne said he expected it to be here at the end of October.  I swear, it's the little things...biggrin

im not racing anyone haha. I just want my car. that would be sweet if i got mine then too. which wouldnt make sense if you got yours first anyways cause your order was put in about a week in a half after mine so we will be getting them the same day prolly. hehe. im excited.

Vegan, probably our orders were within the time frame for week 40 production (October 1).  I'm sure all the orders, w/in our time frame, from this region will be made and shipped at the same time.  More cost effective.  I definately hope we make it to Towne the same day to pick up our MINIs so we can meet and get pictures of our babies together...
