Though we do feel engine noise in the new "N" motors is normal, that is not to say you dont have an issue. I would never say it is a non-issue with out listening to it. To be upfront yes the direct injection, hydraulic lifters, Vanos system and for the turbos... the vacuum pump do all make noise that few people are used to. If your in the area stop in, we can listen to it and take it for a ride, we have had only one issue with the new motors, but thats not to say there isnt another one here.
