Minis on top 2008

yeah.... you may have the rare chance of parking next to another MINI too if you venture out to a restaurant..
smile.gif
actually you'll practically end up driving with your knee, and shifting with one hand as you wave with the other because the town will be swamped with MINIs....Its a GREAT feeling

Meh, you should return sooner... Jersey and NYC is a quick 6 hour drive anyway!

We booked our room at the T and C.
Is anyone heading out from the Rochester area first thing Friday morning? We can't do the Bushnells Basin 2 day drive.

We're not going to MOT this year so any organizing (such as it is) for the Bushnell's Basin gathering / drive should probably be picked up by someone else.

Brian and I have registered for MOT.  It's our first year!  We are planning on leaving on Friday as well.  We could meet somewhere in Penfield (such as the Penfield Wegmans) or wherever.  I'm so excited!!

you guys crack me up. Spd, let me share a story with you from the early years of when Brian and I were dating, and the word "marriage" was a four letter word. I love candles, and purchase a ton of them. Brian would always complain (too much money, they take up too much space, why do you need them, etc.). Well, the ice storm happened, and we lost power for four days. I had about a hundred candles burning (we lived in a little townhouse at the time), and the candles kept the temperature at a livable amount. After that, he told me that I could buy as many as I wanted to (and he hasn't complained since then). So I fully support Nicole's desire to go to Yankee Candle. I would like to go too, but my hubby would rather go to Ben & Jerry's (and since ice cream is my main weakness, he won that battle).

Ohhh its not going to Yankee Candle...its that we are both driving there (both cars) and its just more mileage and more time off and yadda yadda yadda..... I will stop being a Grumpy Gus about driving to YC and just enjoy motoring.

Oh and I love shopping and buying stuff even if its candles. I am in touch with my feminine shopping side.

Spd, I'm glad that you're in touch with your shopping instinct. Perhaps you can show Brian the way. Brian didn't want to take Thursday off either, so we decided to drive on Friday, and stop in Vermont on the way (I'm not aware of anyone else planning the same). On Sunday, we're going to visit my best friend who lives outside of Boston; otherwise I'd offer to go along with you guys.

So, you're driving both of your cars?

Yup, we're taking both cars to MOT, but for [most] of the other longer distance stuff this summer we'll just take one of them.

You? Me? Zweigles?
PepperMINI, you still bringing the hibachi?!
My thought is we can either do them Friday night or Saturday for lunch.
On a side note, which do you like better, reds or whites?

You know thinking about it....I think that the Zweigles will fair better going the 8 hour drive to NH for MOT than on the many hour drive down to the toasty south for MOTD...unless you got one of those fancy fridges that Cathleen has that plug into the cigarette outlet in the trunk...
