Snow tires for 2007 Minis

Did anyone get snow tires in their 2007 Mini yet? My understanding is that they require a special set that might not be available online easily.

Many customers have had luck finding a cheaper alternative to our package, but I do want to warn you, regardless what tire/wheel suppliers advertise no matter the back spacing a 15" wheel will not fit and clear the brake calipers on the front of the vehicle. Many customers have been told that one wheel or another will work, once the vehicle is here we find otherwise, so to save time and money shipping wheels back and forth I suggest just finding the cheapest 16" available. Also the search function works great, just a few posts ago all of this was covered.

Pepper, look on craigslist for a 16" rim with snows on it with a 4X100 patter (the same as on civics) We put a set on my wife's 07 mini and they mounted beautifully. I think we paid like $250 for everything. If you need me to look for you I can send a couple I find.

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/pts/480529688.html these might work but they are taller than OEM and may make your R56 look like an offroad buggy. Also they may rub, Mark can chime in lol. They definately will make your speedo off by about 5mph

Well those are definitely larger in size than the OEM 17 but the OEM size is a 205/45/17 and you can get an 18 to clear. However when installing the 18 wheels we put tie rod end stops in place so you do not rub and cause damage to your suspension, the only down side is it makes your turning radius slightly larger. I am not sure you will see a huge difference in MPH, the MINIs will range from 15-18 in wheel size with out changing hardware or software and still read with in the 6% leeway given to the manufacturer. Due to the size I am not sure I would suggest this package, but it is a possibility and can try it at your own discretion.
