This date should be clear of any autocrosses or other MINI events, ...I'll post more info soon....but heres the rough idea:

Saturday, May 26
Start: TBA 10:00 AM (will be in Syracuse area again)
Finish: Joes Pasta Garage, 28 Jordan St, Skaneateles, NY

If you want to join in let me know

Alright Fellow Motorers Here are the Details:

Syracuse MINI Rally
Enjoy Gorgeous relaxing views of Owasco lake and Skaneateles Lake as we wind through the area!

When:
Saturday, June 2, 2007, 10:00 AM
Where:
Start: Hoopes Park, Auburn -Well gather on S Herman Ave off of Rt. 20
Finish: Joes Pasta Garage, 28 Jordan St. Skaneateles


Description:
Well start off at the park where well oohh and ahh at each others MINIs for a bit. Then well head out for our Rally. Well be Motoring around the gorgeous shores of Owasco Lake and Skaneateles Lakes, so bring your cameras! Directions will be given out at meeting along with doughnuts and coffee.
Not a race, but just a chance to meet the few Motorers around CNY and enjoy your MINI while exploring your area.
At the end of our rally well end up at Joes Pasta Garage where who ever wants lunch can join in (everyone covers for themselves). RSVPs are appreciated.

So as promised, here are directions to the start point of this rally (or go to google maps:
(from points west)
Take the Thruway East
Exit 41 (Rt 414S toward Waterloo)
At the bottom of the ramp, Right on Ridge Road
Make the first Left on to 318
318 Turns into 5 and 20
When you get to the city of Auburn, make a right onto John Street (Rt 38 A)
Left Onto E Genesee
Continue on E Genesee until you get to the part where the on-coming traffic is separated by grassy small stripes with trees in them (you'll know what I'm talking about when you see it) at this point, start looking for South Herman Ave, Make a right onto it and park.

 

-If it's raining there is a covered club house at the park where we'll have doughnuts and coffee until we leave.

-THERE ARE NO BATHROOMS AT THE PARK, PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY (sorry, but it was the best place to start from that is free, and in the general area).

-The total rally run time is just under 2 hours.
-Be sure to bring your cameras, there are some nice views....just be safe and have your navigator take the pictures.

Thanks, It was great to meet all of you..... you guys from Endicott are a blast!! I'm looking foward to swining by your area too for some Tier motor events, but I'm glad you all enjoyed the run...Tom, I just sent you a cd with pictures that HeeRak took to combine with ones that you took (which btw are awsome).

Another event I missed, basically in my own back yard...



Why didn't anyone tell me about this forum sooner? I've been toiling away on NAM, and not hearing a peep about local events.

The important thing is that I'm here now, and can't wait until the next rally you do. I'll be watching for next time.
