Road Trip!

Off to Virginia, Atlanta and Florida to visit some friends and family in April.

In between Virginia and Georgia, I'm gonna make a sidebar to Deals Gap to drive the Dragon!!!

Wish me luck! I bought a Garmin GPS unit for the trip. Damn if I'm getting lost.

I work in Skaneatlas Falls, There are a few that hide around there 3 (including me) (2 dark greens, one with white stripes, the other none. and me with my Metallic Silver MCS w/ Jersey plates), and sometimes they'll come out for lunch. I've seen a red one there too, but thats been about it....Its really rare for me to spot one coming oncoming direction and even rarer for me to have another mini to play around with... There are a few more up in Syracuse, but come by for the 'Cuse MINI rally and i'm sure you'll meet others..
oh and btw.... I always wave to other MINIs

We'll I survived the Road Trip.

I left on the 13th for a weekend in Virginia and then Sunday it was off to the Tail of the Dragon.

The weather was crappy that day and by the time I arrived at Deals Gap, there was a half an inch of slushy snow on the roadcry

I was able to keep my MINI on the road and I drove to northern Georgia to get a room for the night. I did manage to get a nice license plate frame from a store in Robbinsville NC. Next time, NO SNOW!

The next morning it was off the Tampa for a week on fun in the sun! The MINI was flawless for the whole trip and averaged around 32 mpg

I drove straight through from Tampa to Buffalo on the way home. The only thing I worried about was hitting a deer. Left Tampa at 6:30AM and arrived home at 3:OOAM. 21 hours went by faster than I thought.

Good to be home but I'll miss the sunny and 80 degrees until it finally warms up around here,

Dave
