I was at Towne MINI last saturday checking out the new MINI and was able to take an 07 S for a drive.
I drive an 06 Cooper so it's hard for me to compare but the 1st thing I noticed was the lack of the supercharger whine from the prior S's (can I do that?)
The interior is great. The audio controls need to be learned. Took me 10 mins to find the volume control. Who would expect it to be right in the midde of the center stack?
I really like the new interior doors. The "penis" has peen lopped off and they are less homophobic for me.
Lots-o-little things....different feel to toggles, the "SPORT" button RULES!
Ok, now some things you didn't know....
No 6 speed Coopers until sometime in April. All they have in the automatics. (Thats what I was told)
The 07 convertable's still have the 06 interiors. No dash or door changes. Wierd.
If I had some disposable income, I'd go get an 06 or two to hoard.
Also, Annmarie gets prettier everytime I see her! That woman just doesn't age!
Stop into Towne MINI and get your Hammer and Coop air freshener before they're gone!!!!
