Howdy folks! I am new to the WNY mini club forum but have owned my mini for almost a year (blue 2006 Cooper S with silver racing stripes (we also have a 1975 Austin Mini)). Are there ever any mini events or meet-ups in the Buffalo area?
Towne Mini is saying that they will probably have a 07 Mini introduction event in March as Feb might be too cold. We should try to organize an R56 WNY event once the new models are released around 2/17. I'd love to meet the other local Mini owners once I get my 07 MCS in Feb.
Holly, the Towne launch event for the new Mini model will most likely be the next Buffalo event. Also check out Diane's post about the June rally, that is a lot of fun. Once it gets a little warmer we will try to do some more of the informal dinners & drives, and we try to vary the locations around western NY.
If anyone has ideas of places for dinner in Buffalo, let me know. Heck, I wouldn't mind going to Ted's! (Niagara Falls Blvd is easier to get in & out of, compared to the one on 78.)
While not in the Buffalo area, why not consider attending MINIs on Top (MOT) which is held in New Hampshire in mid-June. The event culminates with a sunset drive to the top of Mount Washington. This is one of, if not the, largest gathering of MINIs in the East. Full details can be found at www.minisontop.com
MOT might be pushing it that weekend. I get back from a seminar in Pennsylvania on the 15th which would make driving to New Hampshire on the 16th a bit painful. Maybe next year. Thanks for the invite!!
