Today (11/28) production ended on the R50 (Cooper) and R53 (Cooper S) MINI.

Let's take a moment to raise our afternoon coffee cups as the MKI MINI era ends and the MKII begins.

I'll have to see an R56 in person to really get a good idea of the difference. I don't think the exterior difference is too striking, but I have some reservations about the interior changes. At least the color line up is slightly more interesting than last year!

In talking to the service rep last month, the new mini will be more expensive to fix and the parts will be more expensive also......

Sounds like even more reason to keep my 2003 Mini, especially since I have gotten used to looking up for the clock!
