Sat 7/8 or Sun 7/9- Ice cream run? Mini golf?

Well, I've been busy with the house hunting, though I may have found one, so I'm hoping to get some summer events in while I'm waiting to move. I'm off next weekend- anyone up for Mini golf or an ice cream run? (Location might be dependent on the location of who shows interest!)

There is a miniature golf place near Rochester (up by Sea Breeze) that is one of the oldest functioning miniature golf locations, so that would be my first choice. (And Don & Bob's & Bill Gray's are near by, too!) This is right near Lake Ontario, east of Rochester.

Parkside Whispering Pines, 4383 Culver Road, is open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. from mid-June until mid-September. Until mid-June, it's open weekdays from 4 to 9 p.m. and weekends from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. (from the Rochester D&C)

Cath,
I went to Port Dover, Ontario, Canada last weekend to see a play. This would be an interesting destination for Minis to invade if crossing the border isn't a major fear factor.
Every Friday the 13th, this little resort town on the northern shore of Lake Erie is invaded by thousands of motorcyclists for unknown reasons. It is high time the Minis of WNY and Southern Ontario make their thunderous presence known! Just a thought. Maybe we could start a tradition of "Minis at Dover"? The drive up is beautiful, with small town Canada in much in evidence, and farmlands that stretch for miles, which after witnessing, made me yearn for Canadian citizenship. Bill aka "Cogman"

Cogman, I like the idea of a little trip up NORTH... As far as the 8th or 9th, I am going to head to Toronto for the Champ car race at Ontario Place. It has become a "family" outing (last two years on the FERRY) but is looking like a MINI run again this year. We get our tickets from our favorite scalper on the corner and have sat in almost the same seats every year. Keep the ideas coming......

Good luck moving yellowmini.... where are you moving to?

I have an offer accpeted on a place in Swillburg, near the Goodman St 490 exit. Since I was hoping not to move in August, I have a feeling that's when the closing will be!

If the 8th/9th doesn't work we could also try Saturday 7/15 after 4:30. Lex, I think this Mini golf place was your idea, if I remember right (and I might not!)

I'm always up for MINI golf.... July 15th I am in Northhampton Mass. for a Bagpipe competition...bummer for me...believe it or not... I am playing the bass drum that day, as our bass drummmmmer can not make it.. so I am the back up...I would rather be playing the pipes, but I have to do what I have to do... I'll get to pipe at the Syracuse Scottish games in August.

I was just in Northampton- if you like BBQ, there's a place (I think in Hatfield) called Holy Smokes (former church) that was excellent.

Anyone want to go for a drive next weekend? I don't think I've had enough ice cream this summer...
