Was this going to be with Randy again or does someone else do it now. I just traded in my 2003 and got a 2006 checkmate and I want to get a pulley put on this car as soon as I can. I don't really want to wait till Fall, but I also want it done correctly. Any ideas?
OK, at the risk of sounding really dumb here......what is this pulley thing? I not particularly mechanically inclined, but I really haven't got a clue on this so far.
No worries about feeling dumb, A pulley party is a MINI gathering where we do mods on our MINIs. Usually there is atleast one qualified person there to assist with any mods you'd like to do (you help out with the work). The name Pulley Party comes from the fact that usually the mod that is done at these is a pulley swap, meaning that they take off the Super Charger pulley (on the MCS), and replace it with a smaller diameter one. This means that the compressor is turning faster and compressing more which gives you more happiness as you lay on the throttle. Some other things you could have installed are Cold Air Intakes (CAIs) Crank Pullies (lightened pulley which is on your crank shaft will lower the rotational inertia of your engine), Brake replacement, Exhaust, Rear sway bar (helps you corner faster)....etc etc.. Sometimes the mod can be as simple as attaching a sticker or badge (if you just wanna hang out...which is def cool)

Jim, Im not sure which vehicle you have, a left over 06, or an 07, if it is an 07 unless it is a convertible there are no pulley swaps available. I am assuming your vehicle is a 2007 hard top so the vehicle is either naturaly aspirated or turbo, the different mods available for the turbo is a new larger turbo, blow off valve with a high boost level or a new inter cooler. As far as after market accesories and oem warranty are concerned, the warranty is not void as a whole, if we find a new exhaust installed but your horn stops work obviously that was not caused by the exhaust and the horn will be repaired under warranty, how ever if we find o2 faults caused by catylitic replacment then that repair may not be covered. I find most bolt on accesories to be worth the money with good results and have not seen too many adverse effects with my customers, i do not suggest any electrical modifications or ECU or DME "flashes" i do not feel they are worth the money for the gains achieved and they make it difficult for us to diagnose in future visits. Mark
Mr Pierson, Anytime, thats what i am here for. Were those hood stripes on your convertible at time of service? I did not notice them, but they look great. Mark
Venno: Thanks for the mechanical lesson. When my MCS arrives, I'll have to see how much "G-force" it already has and go from there.
Mark: Thanks for your info too. My vehicle is a yet-to-be produced, 2007. Actually, it's in prodction now, so I'm hoping to see it before the snow flies (and will meet you soon, I expect).

I dont think they were on there at the time, I still need to do the ones on the boot. I found a shop locally that can print any design I want and cheap! They use 3M vinyl. It would be about $100 for the bonnet/roof/boot material in any design you want and maybe another 100 to have installed. Hopefully I can get them to become a vendor on NAM when they have the shop fully setup.
