I'm the proud owner of a new 2006 MINI Cooper ... Purple Haze with silver bonnet stripes, roof and mirrors. Looking forward to meeting the members of the WNY Club at an event this year.
Congrats Sparky! Don't forget to wave... :) Dave... so what are you getting this time? Erik...
You must have read other posts by now but..06 Cooper, Purple Haze all over, cold weather pack, fog lights with standard leatherette interior. Not sure about the dash, I just might have to go look at her again to see
Dave, Mary & Little Em'ly welcome Sparky, and would like to point out that Little Em'ly was born in June, '04, and therefore may be the last Indy Blue Cooper ever made. We like not being yellow, NOT THAT THERE'S ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT...
We'll the creek is low and I recieved my new Cooper today!!
I'm in love all over again!! I drove around for 80 miles or so today and am completely and utterly happy!!! Thank you Annmarie at Towne for crunching the numbers and getting me into a new Cooper!!!
Thanks to Dan Ives at Towne also for all he does!!
A couple of nice surprises from the 03,
button on turn indicator lets you switch between outside temp and speed!
Tiny orange lights in the inside door handles adds a nice interior atmosphere!
The new key is great! not as bulky and easier to use!
The doors unlock when you shut off the car! No more "pull twice to open"
The biggass cupholder.
I'm wondering how I got along without cruise control all these years!
The multifunction steering wheel is the cats arse!
And the coolest thing so far is the MP3 CD capability of the stereo!!!!! 10 or more albums on one CD!!!
I have to return to get the daytime running lights turned on but thats about the only issue.
I'll have more to say after a few more miles I'm sure.
Another feature I discovered is little entry lights on the door bottoms to light the ground under the door when opened. Also, the dash illumination is improved. Very nice!!
