So Benny is a 2006 mini. He has the armrest..... I dont like it. It gets it my way and the cupholder is almost unusuable... So I am thinking of buying this delete kit. http://new.minimania.com/part/NMK7750/Armrest-Delete-Kit---R50-52-53-Cooper--S So I can reset the center console back to normal.
My question is has anyone done this themselves before? It seems like it would be easy enough to unscrew, unclip and swap the parts out. But anyone who has personal experience doing it would be helpful. I am trying to keep the cost down in doing this because I just bought Benny....so I dont really have the money to have MINI do it.
If you are in Buffalo, Get prices from Grand Prix Auto and Ken-Ton Auto, they work on Mini's. I want to take my armrest out, and replace it with an aftermarket. For Towne Mini to replace....I have to purchase the whole console part and THEN put in the Armrest. The cost for parts AND labor...with my OWN purchased Armrest, will still end up around $500. I can think of better ways to put that money to use....
