We're in the shop again for body work on the 2005 Cooper. Towne fixed a bunch of rust 2 years ago and it has re-surfaced on the lower, front corners of both door.

This time there was no saving the doors and Towne requested and got permission to replace them under the Rust Warranty the MINI offers.

I'm looking at at least another 7 days without the car but we should get it back by July 21.

It just goes to prove: Know your Warranty and don't be afraid to ask for help. It's not the first time MINI has taken care of our car because of a premature failure. I can only hope they keep it up IF we need it, again.

mine has some rust forming on the boot and it is an 06. I dont think it is rusted through though :(

Take it to Towne. They should stand behind it and fix it.
