my 2008 MCS has just 40,000 miles on it and when up shifting in to 3rd and above 3000 rpms the slipping is most noticeable. cost to fix issue...? I have only had car for less then 3000 miles. what causes this? hard driving, racing, releasing clutch to slow to fast, hard down shifts, having clutch pushed in at red lights, so i can make sure ether my self or who ever is driving car knows not to do this or is 40,000 miles with hard driving about average for clutch ?
talk to Jason at Black Forest Motorsport. We were talking about this issue a few weeks ago... He'll be able to help you out. Or, at least point you in the right direction.
Thank you :) at the moment the car has warranty from Fuccillo where I bought car 6000 miles or 6 months ! the service manager said take it to towne get MINI MO fixed up will mail check over night. so that is exciting ! but I would still like to know how to prevent this issue, I have seen on other threads that around 40,000 miles is usual for 2008 mcs to have issues with clutch.
