So the front right strut is completely shot on my 2002 Cooper, so I ordered a set of 4 struts for it just to change them all at once.  when I go to put the new struts in, I notice that they don't look like my old struts, and read on the box that the struts are only good for Coopers built after March 2002 (mine was built in February) and I cannot find pre 03/2002 struts ANYWHERE and I don't want to pay dealer prices to fix it. can anybody help me?!

What looks different on them? Did you buy aftermarket or factory? Can you return them?

Actually, I think I figured it out, the swaybar end links from early 2002 to 2003 are different, so i changed to a 2003 strut and end links, now all I need is an alignment and it should be all fixed!
