MINI will be the featured Marque for the 2013 Watkins Glen Grand Prix Festival (SVRA)

For those who REALLY like to plan ahead, next years' 2013 marque is the Mini.  There are always tons of old minis, racing minis and new Minis there.

I have been going to the festival for 15 years and always have a good time.  I drive the Porsche but maybe next year maybe I will bring Mini.

This years marque is the Mustang.

The cars in the featured marque always get a special rally just for them, I prefer the Knapp Vineyards Sporting Roadster Tour more than the rest because it is the most driving, I think we did over 200 miles last year...then two laps of the old course

So exciting! We went the last time MINI was featured. We live 20 minutes from Watkins so we get to drive the old course frequently.  When we were on it last month they had just oiled and stoned parts of the road so we couldn't run it as fast as we wanted to and the train tracks are still harsh.

I'm hoping to make it for part of this year's event, but that's even more incentive to try to plan to make it next year!
