Anyone in WNY have the ALTA Accessport yet? I'm thinking about taking the plunge soon for my JCW and would like to hear some feedback from local drivers. I'm a little nervous seeing that our roads are so crappy around here, I don't want 1st and 2nd gear to be totally useless! lol
There's nothing "MINI" about them, and they're slow. Same engines, but plus about 700 pounds. The AWD would be cool in the snow, but that doesn't make it any better, maybe a little better handling. Somehow the AWD ones are slower off the line than the FWD ones. 7.5+ second 0-60 and a 16 second 1/4 mile. Haha... weak. I could go on and on... lol... hopefully they'll get better in years to come.
If I could buy the WRC version I'd be interested, but that's the only version you'd see me driving.
Obviously they're my own opinions, shouldn't change your mind, but obviously I won't be buying one anytime soon :)
haha, its all good, i went today to test drive one and i was very impressed. Either the countryman or the jcw. not sure yet, i gotta save some cash up for a Hefty down payment.

of course youd say that hahaha. im also thinking about when it comes to starting a family though. Also i wanna buy a house this fall and i wanna live in more counry area with land so 4 wheel drive is pretty key and i wanna stick with mini. tough decision.
