Hello everyone, I am real excited as this is my first mini purchase and have been looking at one of these for quite some time. I purchased a used 2007 Mini Cooper S Convertible with less than 15k miles with a Super Charged motor and not Turbo Charged - automatic. I would like to hear feedback in regards to the miles per gallon.
After my 1st full tank using Hess Premium 93 gas and driving 70 to 75 % on the highway averaging 69 to 72 miles per hour, the car only recorded 24 miles to the gallon. I did not get on the gas what so ever. I have been on many message boards reading everyone that posted about mileage like this and they were hitting near the 32 to 35. The tire pressure is fine also. I see others who were similar to my results of low MPG and the responses to there post from others was that there is something wrong.
Does anyone have any Take on this? I would really love to hear some feedback
Thank You and looking forward to meeting others on here
We had a 05 cabrio S with a 15% pulley on it and got mid to high 20's on the highway in it in the summer. It sounds like you're in the right ballpark.
Welcome! Looking forward to meeting you and your mini!

That sounds about right. I have a base '05 cooper and I do not get as good millage on the thruway than I do on country roads. Also the 15% pulley is going to cost you extra gas I think.
