2010 Pancake Run Sunday March 28th

The MINI Club is invited to join us for our annual spirited drive to scenic Short Tract, NY, in southern Livingston County to enjoy pancakes and fresh maple syrup at the famous Cartwrights Maple Tree Inn.

For those of you in the Rochester metro area, we will be departing from the Rush Park & Ride off Exit 11 of I-390 (first exit south of the NYS Thruway, corner of NY 15 and 251) at 8:30 AM sharp. We will convoy down I-390 to Mt. Morris where we will then take back roads the rest of the way to the restaurant. The drive down will be spirited, but not wildly extra-legal, in the hope of getting to the place early enough to avoid a long wait to be seated.

For those who want to meet at Cartwrights, plan to rendevous at about 9:45-10:00 AM

Can we only hope that the beautiful weather we are having will happen for this event?

Does the "spirited drive " include all the great dirt roads in the area like the Mudville Rd. If so would they/you be real upset if we came with something other than MINI/BMW? Say Subaru

It's a run what ya brung event but we don't do the dirt roads. It's all paved except they use lots of sand instead of salt down there so if they have treated the roads for any reason then it is muddy/dirty. Plus, if the weather holds up there may very well be mud from the farmers activities on the roads.  It's fun and it only takes 30 minutes to wash a MINI anyways.

a Griot's boars hair brush and a bucket I can clean the car and rinse in 30 minutes.

Didn't say anything about the follow up time spent waxing, pimping, admiring, fussing, dusting, walking around, beer drinking, day dreaming .......no

It was a great day and we had three MINIs in attendance. All told, it may have been 50 people attending with mostly BMWs and a random selection of daily drivers.  For those that came hope you had a good time! The weather sure co-operated.
