2009 year in review. What happen this year with your MINI and stuff.

Did this last year and the thread turned out to be kind of cool.

So here is the question.
What did you like, not like, learn, discover or just plan have fun doing involving your MINI in 2009?

For us it was great.
Found out with MiniMo's first checkup that Towne is the best dealership that we have EVER worked with for service.
Loved the UK days even after we discovered that the new MINI's were a "wicked stepchild". And we (the newer MINI's) were a big star in the show.
The love and caringness of this club for the increase in the toy drive.
There are better tires than "run flats".
We really do ONLY have to purchase gas and tires for this car.
BMW can NOT help out a MINI owner.
A MINI can take a Mustang or Corvette so long at the road has curves.

OK, I'll bite. I don't know if I learned quite as much this year as I did last year. However, in addition to all I learned in 2008, I also learned that:

Despite losing Ted (any my heart and mind), that her spirit lives on in our MINI adventures;
The MINI is absolutely ideal for road trips short and long--anywhere from Tidouete PA to Gorham NH;
There are new adventures to be had right around the proverbial corner, and we better do 'em;
This Club has great people who will do anything for you (includes dressing your new dog & sharing tires);
This Club has a great time--at the Road Rally, Watkins Glen, MOT, the Wine Run, Letchworth, & the Toy Drive;
The MINI is perfect for twisty, uncrowded, backroads which now take priority over the interstates, anyday;
The year ahead holds some great MINI Motoring adventures, so we better start planning 'em now!

Thanks y'all! 2009 has been a blast; looking forward to joining up with all of you in '10!

Well, I learned this last year but it continues to hold true...it's great to have MINI friends! The Club members have enriched my life in so many ways. I also learned that Pepper is much like my kitten...she's cute, but she bites! She took out a guy at the UK car show this year. Also, on the plus side, Pepper is much more comfortable to drive with a broken finger...there's plenty of room between the stick shift and the console, and also between the e-brake and the center console. I've jammed my poor finger more than once on the Rabbit, which has led to some shameful streams of swearing that would make a sailor cringe.

Had the BEST time at MOT this year; couldn't have asked for more pristine weather. It was truly an enchanting trip. If you load up the convertible with your cute coworkers, you will receive several whistles from construction workers. Plus, I know I'm biased, but the convertible is always the crowd pleaser!

Brian's gift of a windscreen last year was one of the best gifts ever. Love that thing (didn't get to use it until the spring)! I can't wait for convertible weather to come back around! Pepper does not like being tucked away in the garage for the winter.

Chris (aka dumpnrun) has the best schmoozing skills in the club (although Kim and Scott are quite impressive in that department as well), VeganBrian is the best entertainment this side of Vegas, Kim and Jill (tedscar) and Nancy (Chris' wife) have pure hearts of gold, Grey Poupon has the best looking and well mannered family around, BeeArrGee is so peppy and fun to be around, Mark and Nicole (Spd and Trixie) are so smart and personable, Mitch is super talented and artistic, Cathleen is my unofficial adoptive mom, and so many others in the club have made me smile.
