Anybody going to this?  A friend of mine who owns a British motorcycle shop told me about this.  I'm surprised I haven't seen it mentioned here somewhere (unless I missed it) considering the MINI is one of the featured marques (along with the Morgan).

Its too bad they are not allowing newer Minis in the show.  Wonder if they would have a display area for newer cars?

It's weird that they mention that there are 50 years of Minis on the flyer but only allow the first 20 years of Minis to enter... They could at least have seperate classes for classics vs new minis.

OK, Here is the deal. I spoke to George Haynes and this is what he said.

In the planning phase we chose to focus on Vintage British cars and bikes, opting not to include the new BMW MINI's.  We felt the newness of the modern MINI also would make judging these cars more difficult.

A couple things have changed since then, not least of which has been adding Towne Mini as a show sponsor.  However, we have purchased only enough class awards for the original number of classes, so it would be difficult to add another judged class at this time.  I'm pretty sure new MINI's will be a class for 2010.

As a compromise, if you and your fellow club members would be OK with a Display Class without judging and awards, we would accept a half-price show-day entry fee of $10.00 to have you join us at the event.

Please let me know if this sounds good to you.

So, do any of you want to do this. I would hope that someone would have more expertise in this then I. I have only shown a car once before and that was 20 years ago. I'm in. Anyone else?

Hi Everybody
Weather permitting, Mary and Myself are considering a nice drive down to Rochester.  Looking forward to sereing you there.
Jacks & Laurie's Pooley party is Saturday and Sunday morning and it would be nice to cruise over to Rochester after Breakfast.

Well ,I guess my wife and I are planning on going. If they allow me I will enter Willow:::bee in the show. I will also be bringing a canopy for shade.So bring your lawn chair and hang out.  And if they dont  confusewe ll see ya there anyway.  untill then seeya CJ biggrin

Sorry the city firehouse on South Ave. is being remodeled and the one at brooks and Gen. is to small. So no firetruck to take the lead this time...lol smile

Hope y'all have a great time Sunday! I would love to see the orchestrated meeting at 10:01:38. Maybe someone can get it on film. And welcome to the club JC55MINI!

We're in Pittsburgh headed to the National Aviary tomorrow: http://www.aviary.org/index.php . It was not at all what we planned for today, but here we are. It's great to have house / animal sitters--that's a new one for us.

I've moved the MINI twice now in the same parking lot (for a grand total thus far of three different parking spots). Who is this guy???
