Missing wiring

I was poking around on my 2005 and noticed that I do in fact have the lights in my doors that lit up the ground when you open the door.  There is the lens and a bulb, but no wiring.  Was this an option or was the wiring just over looked in the factory.  I would like them to work since they are there.  Is this a warranty thing?  Or will I have to do it myself?

VICTORIOUS! I just took my door panels off, guess what, the wire with the plug was tucked in there. My guess is the at the plant this was a new feature and mine must have been one of the first "late 2005" models and the guys assembling did not know what the wire was and just tucked it up out of the way. Anyway I plugged it into the light assembly and it works just fine now.

Cool Mitch--great find! Now you can venture out in the evening and rest assured your torch will always be lit when you step into the MINI. If you drive it right to your doorstep, you should have no trouble whatsoever!

Lol yes I do not need to worry about steping onto unsafe ground now. I also just ordered a whole bunch of led lights in white blue and red to I can choose my interior lighting now!
