So....Anyone wanna motor in the motherland of the MINI in celebration of 50 years of MINI motoring???
MINI will be throwing a party at Silverstone, UK May 22-24, 2009

I'll be motoring on backroads starting May 20 from CZ go through Germany, Belgium, France and finally England...Not sure if I'll have a navigator yet (Hopefully I will, but let me know if you're interested.)

Having your MINI there isn't a requirment, but I do have 2 maybe 3 free seats for fellow motorers....and the backseats aren't that bad at all!

This really sounds like a blast! I've been reading about the party on MINI2 and daydreaming of going. Too many unknowns in our part of the world, or at least my part of the world.

Your trip sounds like quite the adventure Venno--well worth doing I'm sure. That would likely be a once-in-a-lifetime kind of soiree--sounds great.

Keep this thread going; maybe you can entice a few of us yaehoos to head over for it!

Well I found a Navigator for my 3 day Euro-Road trip from Prague, CZ to Silverstone, UK, she's from Baldwinsville, NY.... SO will I be joined by any other CNY'ers, WNY'ers or Tier'ers??

Well Im here at Silverstone Circuit in the UK celebrating MINIs 50th. The trip here was an adventure which took my navigator and me from Prague to Stuttgart (where without a GPS we couldn;t find our hotel and slept in the MINI), Reims, Paris and London. Some people "MINI people of Russia'" Traveled all the way from Moscow they came in a group of about 15 MINIs! Others are a lot more local, but Italy, Holand, Belgium and Germany came in real strong numbers.
Yesterday was kinda dead (cold, windy) but today its really alive and happening and the weather's great. Lots of interesting things to see, but it misses the warmth that US MINI meets have.
Anyway I head back today, when I get back I'll post pics.
