These are a few of the numbers reported on the AutoBlog. Audi number one with only a 5.4% drop over sept. last year MINI second at -6.7% VW third at -9.4
I still find this strang for MINI. If they are selling orders only at record numbers and the factory is running at 100%, why are the numbers off? I'll have to look into it more. The only thing I can think of is the gap from order time to delivery time may have narrowed.
If anyone can find these numbers let me know. -s

Ok, here is additional information. taken from BMW news release. The computer I am using here at work will not allow me to enter a "hyper link" so just copy and paste this address from Bimmerfest to see the report. http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/printthread.php?t=316121 It states that Sept 08 is down 6.7% over Sept 07 but is up 27.4% over the past 9 mos compared to last year same period. Also dealer average a 6 day supply at the end of September.
I guess (and this is only my current summation) that September is down due to the limited inventory caused by the heavy sales in the summer mos.
Anyone else have input? -s
